We have probably flushed the toilet about 300 times since I got from CO. Each day's losses continue to add mount and the insanity of current procedure is starting to weigh heavy. If someone had explained to me that after I got my PDC this sort of thing we become a problem I'm sure I would have hesitated in coming. I hope you all have managed to successfully cope!
Just a quick update from me and mine. I have accepted 3 permaculture design projects, one of .4, one on 2 and one on 7 acres. I have begun the first two and my clients have expressed amazement at what I can do. But I am amazed more than they are, all I'm doing is following the designs steps (observation, sector and zone analysis, etc) and admittedly my experiential knowledge is still limited.
Amy and I have placed an offer on an 1100 sqft cottage surrounded by 2.8 acres of future permaculture goodness! The home sits at the crest of a slope leading up from the cache valley and then falls down again about 30 feet to an unregulated, seasonal mountain stream. It sits at an elevation of 5200 an is probably zone 4. The we call it the castle barn and our little boy, Adam, has stated it's OK for us to move there as long as we replace the windows, which are actually all fine so we are still trying to figure out where he's coming form on that one. The views are incredible, from certain spots you can see the whole valley below but most of the time you are in your own world. We like that.

Additionally I have identified a 120 acre site about 30 minutes to the north that I have decided to attempt to acquire. It only has seasonal access so we can't settle it immediately, hence the whole castle barn thing but I think that will work to our advantage in the long run. We'll start slowly, do a lot of observation, get some small yields and see where it takes us.
